Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling plumbing services with ArtFix Plumbing, you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all customers receiving plumbing services in our Charlotte metro service area. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

ArtFix Plumbing provides professional plumbing services including:

  • Water leak detection and repair
  • Water heater installation, repair, and replacement
  • Emergency plumbing services (24/7 availability)
  • Drain cleaning and unclogging
  • Sewer line inspection and repair
  • Pipe repair and repiping services
  • Fixture installation and repair
  • Preventive maintenance and inspections

Service Areas

We provide services in the following areas:

  • North Carolina: Charlotte, Ballantyne, Myers Park, SouthPark, Matthews, Mint Hill, Lake Norman area
  • South Carolina: Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Indian Land, Tega Cay

Scheduling and Service Calls

Appointment Scheduling

  • Service appointments are scheduled by phone (980-405-4186) or email
  • Emergency services are available 24/7 with premium rates
  • Regular service hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • We provide estimated arrival windows and call ahead when en route

Service Call Charges

  • Standard service call fee: $89 (applied toward work performed)
  • Emergency service call fee: $149 (nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Service calls are required for diagnosis and estimates
  • No charge for service calls when major repairs are completed

Pricing and Payment

Pricing Structure

  • All prices include labor, materials, and applicable taxes
  • Written estimates provided for work exceeding $300
  • Emergency services carry a 25% premium (nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Material costs subject to market fluctuations and availability

Payment Terms

  • Payment due upon completion of work
  • We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
  • Financing options available for major installations ($2,000+)
  • Past due accounts subject to 1.5% monthly service charge
  • Collection costs and attorney fees recoverable for delinquent accounts

Warranties and Guarantees

Labor Warranty

  • All labor covered by 30-day workmanship warranty
  • Water heater installations: 1-year labor warranty
  • Major installations (repiping, sewer lines): 2-year labor warranty
  • Warranty covers defects in workmanship only

Parts and Materials

  • Parts covered by manufacturer warranties
  • We assist with warranty claims and replacements
  • Quality parts from trusted manufacturers (Rheem, Bradford White, Delta, etc.)
  • Material defects handled directly with manufacturers

Customer Responsibilities

Property Access

  • Customer must provide safe access to work areas
  • Clear access to plumbing systems, water heaters, and electrical panels
  • Notify technician of any hazardous conditions
  • Secure pets during service visits

Utilities and Permissions

  • Customer responsible for utility shutoffs when required
  • Obtain necessary permits (we assist with applications)
  • HOA approvals for exterior work customer responsibility
  • Coordinate with other contractors if applicable

Limitations and Disclaimers

Pre-Existing Conditions

  • Not responsible for pre-existing plumbing defects or code violations
  • Old pipe conditions may require additional repairs during service
  • Water damage from pre-existing leaks not covered
  • Code compliance upgrades may be required at customer expense

Property Damage

  • We carry general liability insurance for work-related damage
  • Damage from hidden conditions or emergency repairs may occur
  • Customer should verify insurance coverage for water damage
  • Reasonable efforts made to protect customer property during work

Emergency Services

Emergency Response

  • 24/7 emergency service available for water leaks, sewer backups, and no hot water
  • Emergency response time: 30-60 minutes in primary service areas
  • Emergency minimum charge: $299 (includes first hour of labor)
  • Additional hours billed at emergency rate: $175/hour

Emergency Procedures

  • Customer should shut off water at main if possible
  • Clear access path for emergency technician
  • Be prepared to describe the emergency situation
  • Emergency repairs may require follow-up permanent solutions

Cancellations and Changes

Appointment Changes

  • Service appointments can be rescheduled with 2-hour notice
  • Same-day cancellations may incur $50 service charge
  • No-show appointments subject to full service call charge
  • Weather-related delays communicated promptly

Work Order Changes

  • Additional work requires customer approval and updated pricing
  • Change orders documented in writing
  • Price changes communicated before proceeding
  • Customer may decline additional work at any time

Dispute Resolution

Customer Satisfaction

  • We strive for 100% customer satisfaction on every job
  • Concerns should be reported within 48 hours of service completion
  • Reasonable efforts made to resolve all customer concerns
  • Follow-up service provided when warranted

Formal Disputes

  • Disputes governed by North Carolina or South Carolina law (where service performed)
  • Mediation preferred for dispute resolution
  • Local jurisdiction courts for legal matters
  • Attorney fees recoverable by prevailing party

Insurance and Licensing

  • Licensed plumbing contractor in North Carolina and South Carolina
  • General liability insurance coverage: $1,000,000
  • Workers compensation insurance for all employees
  • Bonded for customer protection

Code Compliance

  • All work performed to current plumbing codes
  • Permits obtained when required by local authorities
  • Inspections scheduled for permitted work
  • Code compliance certificates provided when applicable
